The product achieves the HDLC communications through an EIA RS-485 (TIA/EIA-485), RS-422 (TIA/EIA-422), or EIA RS-232C physical interface. It provides high-speed serial communications. The maximum transfer rates are 1 Mbps (RS-232C) and 4 Mbps (RS-485/422). PCI-4171FM 1-Channel RS-485(422) HDLC Communications PCI Product (with External Clock) FM The PCI-4171FM, an HDLC communications product for PCI-based computers, provides one communications channel. This product achieves the HDLC communications through an EIA RS-485 (TIA/EIA-485), RS-422 (TIA/EIA-422), or EIA RS-232C physical interface. Moreover, it provides high-speed serial communications. The maximum transfer rates are 1 Mbps or 500 kbps (FM0/FM1) for RS-232C, and 4 Mbps or 2 Mbps (FM0/FM1) for RS-485/422. The maximum transfer rate is 4 Mbps. The PCI-4171S supports half-duplex transmission to perform the high-speed transmit/receive switch.
