The Low Profile PCI boards offer a new mechanical standard based on the PCI local Bus Specification. Low Profile PCI Boards have the same signal protocol, electrical definitions, and configuration definitions as standard PCI boards. As the size is smaller than PCI boards, Low Profile boards are intended for use in small footprint computers.
