PCI-466102P Individually-Isolated 2-Channel RS-485(422) Asynchronous Serial Communications PCI Product (with 1024-Byte FIFO) The PCI-466102P, an EIA RS-485 (TIA/EIA-485)/RS-422 (TIA/EIA-422) standard high-speed serial communications product for PCI-based computers, provides two communications channels. Each channel is individually isolated. This product supports asynchronous communications with our original communications controller. Seven base clock frequencies and the independent bit rate generators allow you to choose freely appropriate transfer rates for your specific requirements. The maximum transfer rate is 2 Mbps. The communications controller provides one 1024-byte transmit FIFO and one 1024-byte receive FIFO per channel, and helps achieve reliable transmission without data loss. The terminating resistors can be selected by the DIP switch setting.
